First Days of School

This is Finn on her first day of Kindergarten!

She says, "pshhwwht, I really like Kindergarten. We went outside and played a lot. I had three cheese and cracker sandwiches, they were delicious. There is a toy bus in the Kindergarten room. No. Crazy dad. Quick Dad."

A couple of weeks ago, we found a cute stripey caterpillar on one of our dill plants. He was getting very fat so we brought him and a supply of dill flowers into the house in a jar. In a couple of days he had pupated in a very pretty green pupa hanging from a stick. This morning, we came downstairs to find a beautiful Eastern black swallowtail butterfly in the jar. He stuck around for a few hours to visit and then flew off to join his friends.
